Licence key
One key unlocks the four plugins on one site. Without a key, every plugin keeps working within its free limits.
Get a key
The quickest way is the Get a key button in the header of any Smallapis plugin. It opens the pricing page with your site already known, so the key can be activated in one click after payment. You can also buy from the pricing page directly.
One-click activation
After payment you land on the thank-you page, which shows your key once. If you came from the Get a key button, it also shows Activate on your-site: press it, sign in to WordPress if asked, and the key is saved and checked on that site. Only an administrator of the site can do this.
Paste the key yourself
Open the settings of any one of the plugins and paste the key:
- WebP & AVIF Offload: WebP & AVIF → Settings
- Simple Popups: Popups → Settings
- Private Space: Private Space → Settings
- Menu Styles: Appearance → Menu Styles → Settings
Save. The other Smallapis plugins on the same site use the same key automatically.
How the key is checked
- The key is checked when you save it, when you open the plugins’ own screens, and about once a day in the background. Never while a visitor loads a page.
- A key the service rejects takes the plugins back to their free limits at once. Nothing is deleted: your popups, members and styled menus stay in WordPress, and what fits in the free limits keeps working.
- If the service cannot be reached, the plugins keep the last good answer for several days. A paying customer never loses access because of a network problem.
Move a key to another site
A key is for one site at a time. Remove it from the old site’s settings, then paste it into the new one.
Lost key
Keys are stored hashed: nobody, including us, can display one again. Open the thank-you page again from the link in your payment confirmation, enter the email you used at checkout, and ask for a replacement. The new key works at once and the old one stops. More on the account page.
When a yearly key ends
The plugins drop back to their free limits. WebP carries on exactly as before; AVIF made by the service stops; nothing breaks and nothing is deleted.
